What we collect

When you play the Irish Pub Quiz we store:

• A random anonymous cookie so we can track your session and avoid repeating questions.
• Your quiz answers, response times, and scores.
• A one-way hash of your IP address for anti-abuse purposes (we do not store the raw IP).

If you choose to join the leaderboard, we also store:

• Your email address.
• Marketing consent status, version, and timestamp.

How we use it

• To run the quiz game and calculate leaderboard rankings.
• To send Monday and Friday leaderboard emails (only if you opted in).
• To detect and prevent abuse or cheating.

Third-party services

• Google Cloud — hosting, database, and scheduled jobs.
• Resend — email delivery.

We do not sell your data to third parties.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in every email. To request deletion of your data, email hello@lovetovisitireland.com.

Cookies

We use a small number of functional cookies:

• ipq_anon — anonymous session identifier (1 year).
• ipq_recent — recently seen question IDs to avoid repeats (30 days).

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
